Personnel and organization

Administrative tasks in internal administration are just as much a part of your duties as the possible instruction and guidance of junior and auxiliary staff. You will not only prepare meetings and other events, but also learn the basics of record keeping.

Regulatory administration

You will know the relevant guidelines and legal texts like the back of your hand. You will learn how to apply laws and the necessary specialist knowledge in various subjects (e.g. civil law, state, municipal, social, budgetary and treasury law) during your training.

Service administration

During your training, you will gain an insight into the benefits administration of the city of Bonn. This includes checking and processing applications for benefits, such as social assistance or unemployment benefit.

Public finance

Although you will learn the necessary specialist knowledge during your training, you should still have good numeracy skills so that you can juggle numbers in your day-to-day work. Possible activities include helping to draw up budgets and business plans, processing payment transactions, accounting for travel expenses and calculating staff salaries and wages.
