Electronics technician

Training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering is mainly carried out at the Salierweg sewage treatment plant, which is organizationally affiliated to the civil engineering office of the City of Bonn. As an electronics technician for operating technology, you will install, maintain and repair electrical operating, production and process systems, from switching and control systems to energy supply systems and communication and lighting technology equipment.

Qualified trainers are on hand to help you train successfully in this profession. However, you should bring a few things with you: An interest in technology and electronics is just as essential as precise work and teamwork. You should also have good manual skills and be a reliable team player.

Vocational school lessons take place once or twice a week at the Carl-Reuther-Berufskolleg in Hennef. You will also take part in inter-company training courses at the Siegburg joint training workshop of the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Training with the City of Bonn begins on August 1 of each year and lasts three and a half years. The training period can be shortened under certain conditions (previous education, performance) upon application.

Recruitment requirements:

  • Secondary school certificate after completing compulsory full-time schooling

Payment:

Depending on the year of training, you will receive the following monthly gross training allowance:

  1. Year of training: 1,218.26 euros
  2. Year of training: 1,268.20 euros
  3. Year of training: 1,314.02 euros
  4. Year of training: 1,377.59 euros

You will also receive capital-forming benefits and a special annual payment. You will also receive a learning materials allowance of 50.00 euros in each year of training. If you pass the final examination on your first attempt, you will also receive a final bonus of 400.00 euros.

You are entitled to 30 vacation days per calendar year.
