Monitoring all the processes that occur in a drainage network is therefore one of your key tasks. You will regularly take samples so that you can take immediate action in the event of an increased concentration of pollutants, for example.

Control and monitoring of the wastewater system
The monitoring of the entire wastewater system, from its generation to its discharge into the water, is one of your main tasks as an environmental technologist in wastewater management. You will also be involved in indirect discharger monitoring and sewer maintenance.
Documentation and analysis of processes
In addition to controlling and monitoring the wastewater system, you will regularly collect and analyze data so that you can act immediately in the event of any anomalies. You will also be involved in cleaning work or construction measures.
Wastewater and sewage sludge treatment
Sewage sludge is produced during wastewater treatment and its treatment is also one of your tasks. After treatment, the sewage sludge is either disposed of properly or passed on, for example to farmers who use it as fertilizer.
