Training as a nursing specialist is offered at the senior centers of the City of Bonn in one of the fully inpatient facilities. In addition to looking after and caring for the elderly, the tasks of a nursing specialist also include wound and treatment care for various illnesses.
Training with us means not only advanced topics:
- Guidance throughout the training by trained specialists and personal practical instructors
- Execution of practical work assignments together with the personal practical instructors
- Practical and theoretical exam preparation in cooperation with our training officers and practical instructors
- Application of the structural model
We mainly use a computerized documentation system to record all of our company's services. The theoretical part of the training takes place in the specialist seminars in the form of block teaching. In addition to applying to the City of Bonn, you will also need a confirmation from a specialist seminar for geriatric nursing that will teach the theoretical training content.

The application deadline is always three months before the respective recruitment date.
Training with the City of Bonn lasts three years.

Recruitment requirements:
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent completed school education
or - successful completion of another ten-year general school education (Hauptschulabschluss grade 10)
or - Secondary school leaving certificate with subsequent successful completion of two years of vocational training or secondary school leaving certificate and permission to use the professional title of nursing assistant or an equivalent one-year training course in the field of nursing assistance / geriatric nursing assistance, which are regulated by state law.
Previous work shadowing in one of our facilities is desirable if you have not yet gained any experience in the care sector.
Payment:
Depending on the year of training, you will receive the following monthly gross training allowance:
- Year of training: 1,340.69 euros
- Year of training: 1,402.07 euros
- Year of training: 1,503.38 euros
In addition, you will receive capital-forming benefits and a special annual payment. If you pass the final examination on your first attempt, you will also receive a final bonus of 400.00 euros. There is also the option of reduced meals. You will be provided with uniforms.
You are entitled to 30 vacation days per calendar year.
